Hindu demography of percentage of Hindu population is constantly decreasing very fast . This happened coz of the decreasing TFR ( children per women ) among Hindu women’s in comparison to the Moslem counterparts

From 1700 to 1870 the Hindu population share in Undivided British India was roughly same since the TFR of Hindu & Moslem women’s were almost same . But it started showing difference between census 1870 & 1947 wen India was partitioned . The Moslem share of population in 1870 which was 19% increased to 22 % in 1947 . But in last 7 decades after partition it increases tremendously since the Hindu TFR started falling very steeply .

1870.              1947.             2020

Mos  19%.              22% .             37%

This percentage will increase further with the rise in the gap of TFR of Hindus & Moslems in Subcontinent . Today , TFR of Hindu women’s is 0.6 i.e a Hindu couple possess 1.2 children on average & TFR of subcontinent Moslems is 2.3 % i.e every husband & wife possess 4.6children on average which is almost 4 times that of Hindus . If the trend continues for next 30 years the gap of Hindu TFR & Moslem TFR will widen even more . In 2050 the share of subcontinent Moslem population will become 47% of total population which will be almost equivalent to Hindus

In the next article we will focus on how to counter this serious threat of Hindu demographic threat
